I think it is dangerous. Watchers try to emulate Cesar's methods, without really understanding them, or the dog psyche..Cesar does have some good methods, but they are certainly NOT for all dogs.. for instance, the breed I raise wouldn't respond at all to his methods of domination..
It would be better, if Cesar spent more time educating, and explaining, instead of just showing results in a few minutes (which isn't an honest representation of time) ..AND, warning that many of his methods shouldn't be attempted by the novice!! or the very young!!

I like his show a lot.
I watch it mostly for pure entertainment. I do take his advice on being calm-assertive as much as I can and I also follow his advice on exercise-discipline-affection. It has worked really well.
If I had a problem, I wouldn't use any of his methods without consulting a professional first, which is exactly what he says to do several times throughout the show.
I am a novice at raising up a dog and would not been nearly as good at using his methods as he is and would probably fail miserably if I tried it on my own.

I think it's interesting to watch and he is helping dogs who otherwise might be put down, but I think a majority of people miss the main point. Many problems people have with their dogs could be easily resolved/altogether avoided if people properly exercised their dogs.
The dogs he deals with are damaged. They are the exception, not the rule, so his methods should not be used on most dogs. It all depends on each individual dog and the issues they have. Cesar has phenomenal timing and excellent insight into dog behavior, neither of which the average dog owner possesses. People should not try and emulate Cesar, but should properly meet their dogs needs.

I think he is very good at what he does. He knows how to fix problems that would normally mean a dog would have to be put down. I believe no one should try the things he does without proper professional help for the safety of the animal and humans. It takes a lot of patience.

The man is awesome !!!! I have tried a lot of his methods and they really work. He is not cruel or mean to the dogs. He just lets them know that HE is the pack leader and not them. He believed in exercise, discipline and affection.

CESAR IS MY HERO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I WAS GOING TO PUT MY 5 YR OLD RIDGEBACK MASTIFF X DOWN BECAUSE AFTER HAVING HIM FOR A YEAR, HE HAS TURNED DOG AGGRESSIVE. I THINK HIS PREVIOUS OWNER TRIED TO TURN HIM INTO A FIGHTING DOG. HE WAS OUT OF CONTROL AND EVEN SNAPPED AT ME. HE'S OVER 100 LBS. CESAR SAVED HIM. ROCKY LISTENS NOW (ALMOST ALWAYS). AND HE'S GETTING ALONG WITH MY OTHER BOYS.
