If you're hoping for a cheaper way to aid in this problem, use your regular hair conditioner, and leave in your hair, cover it with a plastic cap, and apply heat for 20 - 30 mins.
you can do this as often as you wish, I would recommend once a week, even if you feel you're hair doesn't need it, especially if you colour or blowdry/style your hair on a regular basis

It sounds gross, but use mayo. I dyed my blond hair black and had to strip it to get back to blond. The hair dresser soaked my hair in mayo and it made my hair feel and look like a shampoo comercial. You have to wash your hair a few times to get the mayo out, but the results are worth it!
