I am remodeling my bathroom, and would like to put my shower head on the exterior wall. Is it within code to put plumbing on an exterior wall?

In the US, it is within code... but let me give you something to think about before you do that... if you need to repair or replace the plumbing for that shower, will you have to tear out the exterior in order to do it?

Most often, plumbing is located in an inside wall so an access panel could be created, if necessary, to repair plumbing. If you put it on an exterior wall, keep access in mind... or it can be a real bear if something goes wrong.

Depends where you live, the pluming for a shower head goes in the wall a couple of inches. If you live somewhere that gets cold during the winter, the pipe can freeze if its to close to the outside edge. If you live somewhere where the winter is above freezing temperature, no problem.

In England all the old houses seem to have that. It looks creepy but appears functional.
