I'm 16 and she's 14. We've been seeing each other for almost 2 years. I'm 5'6" and I don't expect to grow much more. My dad is the same height and my mom is 5'2".
My girl comes from a tall family. Both of her parents are tall. When we met she was about 2 inches shorter than me and then she grew alot during the last 2 years and now stands 6'0" even in her barefeet. And she's still growing! She likes to tease me by wearing high heels to tower over me even more and she stands close to me and look down on me to tease me and make me feel funny. She has one pair that's so high that when she wears them I come up to her shoulder. I don't mind it that much but she likes being naturally taller than me and I like her being taller than me now. I like her and she likes me but often we get stares and some people make comments. How do we deal with it?

you might tdefinitely try this--if there is any chance you are still able to gain height, then this will help. I just wrote this answer for someone here.

It is towards the end--the long answer. Also milk is not good as it has too much protein which make one excrete calcium which is needed. (It actually causes rather than cures osteoporosis). The thing I recommended in the other thread though works in a positive way with calcium.

As far as your situation..she sure has done a lot of growing. The important thing is the way you feel about each other and how you treat one another. Although, it is hard at this age, try to ignore it and learn an important lesson from it...it is what's inside that counts and don't judge a book buy its cover. Learn this and to not care if you happen to be ostracized by loving yourself and you will be a happier person in life.

But if her teasing starts to bother you, let her know and ask her not to do it.

So try the suggestion here and maybe you will grow still. If not, the treatment will still have health benefits.

Taller Girlfriend Growing

Don't let the fact that she is taller than you get in the way of you two being together. You do need to let her know, in a polite way, that she makes you feel bad with her taunting about you being shorter than her. Tell her she needs to be more respectful and stop putting you down. You two have been together for a long time so she should be able to understand. She probably doesn't realize that she makes you feel bad. Once she knows she will stop. As for others, they are probably a little jealous that you are with her and not them. You two may look different from other couples but there are many unusual looking couples out there. Make little jokes baout it or something. Try to take the focus off of how short you are. Actually you are not really short she's just very tall. Maybe you could start putting a little more focus on the fact that she is tall. It will take the focus off of you and if she doesn't like getting the negative focus like you are getting she will understand what you were going through. don't be mean though. Do it in a nice way.

Are you secure in your manhood? If yes then you should be fine. Tall girls are rare and desirable in many cultures. Supermodels must be at least 5'7" and that is still considered short. For all you know the stares and comments are people who find that your girlfriend is very attractive and womanly for her age. If your 16 you can still definetely expect some growth in height. I would guess you might get 2 more inches by the time you are 19. The average male height is 5'9", average female height is 5'4". It is a fact that women grow tall first, tower over the boys for a few years, then the boys grow taller.
When people comment and stare, stare back and make them uncomforable. If they actually say something rude about your appearances say something rude right back about theirs. Good luck.

If you don't mind it, then that is all that matters. People probably are staring because tall women are unusual. If it bothers you either ignore it, or walk over to them and politely ask them to stop staring. But honestly I think you are making a bigger deal than this really is. Don't worry about it. When it comes to love, no body elses opinion really matters.

Get A New GirlFriend Or Deal With It KK

Well, one of my aunts recently married a guy who is maybe three inches shorter than her, and they are quite happy. It is really not nice of her to tease you though.
As far as dealing with other people's comments? Long silent stare, then a sychronized turn and walk away. (Only for strangers though, your family might be worried.) jk, jk, find some record of a tall gal short guy pair that worked out well, then just say "have you ever heard of ---- and -----?"

If you are both comfortable with it…Why would you even care what other people thought. It is none of there business.

But you seem to have a problem with her when she teases you about it. So I would ask her in a polite way and/or talk to her, because it seems to me from your writing that you do have issues with her teasing you.

Let them stare…As long as you are both happy!

Dose not hurt any thing!

For a 16 year old, U're worrying too much. No need for all these U know. Just enjoy each other's company and stop worrying about what other people think. Life is too short. (no pun intended there...)

Look at them peolpe back and find something odd about them and have a great laugh with your girl. Also it's a lot of guys who have girls taller than them. It's natural.
