in modern times it doesnt seem very hard to make people belive in an idea such as heavens gate people.. a ton of people belived that drinking kool aide and killing them selves will some how take u to heaven..
well whats to say 2000 years ago a group of people wanted you to belive that someone was the son of god.. "jesus" and make you belivin in a faulse prophet..
in the the commandments/ bible it says that god is the only god and theres no other.. and thou shalt not belive in faulse idols .. well what would happen if jesus was a faulse idol and everyone that devotes thier life to him .. will go to hell for it..

Actually, the story of the dying and rising god goes back much further than the story of Jesus. Look up Dionysus, Mithras, and Apollonius of Tyanus. In fact, these stories were so well known that the early church fathers (e.g. Justin Martyr) claimed Satan planted them before the events of the gospels so that Jesus would be discredited.

There is no real historical evidence outside the bible that Jesus lived. Often, the works of Josephus among others are trotted out, but none of those works are contemporary with Jesus, but were written well after he was thought to have died. At most, they prove that Christians existed, and at worst, they show that the early church had little problem rewriting history.

There's no record that a town named Nazareth existed at that time.

The stories of the gospels are rehashes of Old Testament stories, especially the stories of Moses.

Paul doesn't say much about Jesus other than the fact that he was resurrected.

There are a lot of questions surrounding the character of Jesus. Even if he did exist, the mythic elements so overshadow his life that it is virtually impossible to know who he was.

Jesus was recorded by 4 different historians of the time not to mention all the manuscripts written of the NT. He has more historical evidence than many people in the ancient world yet the world doesnt try to deny caesars or homers existance do they?

very good thoughts. i agree with you. there's a song by Nicole Nordeman called "what if." and thats just what you've done. theres no saying its not true, but who doesn't believe there is no God? there is way too much evidence, even just in nature itself. so all it takes is faith. you have to have faith, and "without faith, it is impossible to please God." (heb. 11:6)here's the lyrics to that song:

What If
Nicole Nordeman

What if you’re right?
And he was just another nice guy
What if you’re right?
What if it’s true?
They say the cross will only make a fool of you

And what if it’s true?
What if he takes his place in history
With all the prophets and the kings
Who taught us love and came in peace
But then the story ends
What then?
(Chorus)
But what if you’re wrong?
What if there’s more?
What if there’s hope you never dreamed of hoping for?
What if you jump?
And just close your eyes?
What if the arms that catch you, catch you by surprise?
What if He’s more than enough?
What if it’s love?

What if you dig, What if you dig
Way down deeper than your simple-minded friends
What if you dig?
What if you find
A thousand more unanswered questions inside
That’s all you find

What if you pick apart the logic
And begin to poke the holes
What if the crown of thorns is no more
Then folklore that must be told and retold
(Chorus)
You’ve been running as fast as you can
You’ve been looking for a place you can land so long
But what if you’re wrong?

What if you jump?
And just close your eyes?
What if the arms that catch you, catch you by surprise?
What if He’s more than enough?
What if it’s love?

come on, i merely examine the story, next you will tell me he fairly is on that adult males potato chip.. examine it out below.. it extremely is yet yet another certainly one of those Elivs, oh sorry Jesus sightings.. Monday, September 25, 2006 Jesus image modern-day in canines's butt Angus MacDougall is a three-year-previous terrier blend that has those days been blessed with the respected and holy image of Jesus Christ on his hindquarters. is this manifestation of The Prince of Peace a accident or a bona fide miracle? one component is certain, this apparition of the Son of God is particular to motivate controversy. no longer lots if any authentic scientific or theological inquiry has been made into the character of this sign as much as now, yet "seeing is believing" as little Angus' terrier-tush is obviously marked via the likeness of Christ.

The last of prophets in the order of time was Malachias.

Latin Vulgate
Douay-Rheims Bible

Second Epistle Of Saint Peter
Chapter 2

1 But there were also false prophets among the people, even as there shall be among you lying teachers, who shall bring in sects of perdition, and deny the Lord who bought them: bringing upon themselves swift destruction. 2 And many shall follow their riotousnesses, through whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of. 3 And through covetousness shall they with feigned words make merchandise of you. Whose judgment now of a long time lingereth not, and their perdition slumbereth not. 4 For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but delivered them, drawn down by infernal ropes to the lower hell, unto torments, to be reserved unto judgment

11 Whereas angels who are greater in strength and power, bring not against themselves a railing judgment. 12 But these men, as irrational beasts, naturally tending to the snare and to destruction, blaspheming those things which they know not, shall perish in their corruption, 13 Receiving the reward of their injustice, counting for a pleasure the delights of a day: stains and spots, sporting themselves to excess, rioting in their feasts with you: 14 Having eyes full of adultery and of sin that ceaseth not: alluring unstable souls, having their heart exercised with covetousness, children of malediction
