Some drivers flash their right side signal indicating that i can over take them. I think it is not safe since i do not know if he is going to turn to the right or permiting me to overtake!

Don't do anything. If they want to pass you, that's up to them. You have no obligation to signal.

Yes, if u flash the right side indicator for 15 seconds or so and then let it go, it sends a signal to the person behind ya, that he could overtake you.

the 1st thing u shud remember is that while u drive u need to take quick glances in ur rear view mirror to be aware of vehicles approaching u at a higher speed 4m behind
when u r stil at a considerable distance ahead of the person behind u put on ur left indicator and move to the left lane
I REPEAT THAT U SHUD BE AT A GOOD DISTANCE OR THE CHAP MAY TRY TO OVERTAKE U FROM UR LEFT SIDE AND END UP COLIDING WITH U.
most indians wud give the right indicator while moving into the left lane this is completely wrong.

Let the person passing figure out how to get around you.
If you signal or jesture, and an accident occurs, you may be held liable. I will give you an example. 2 years ago a jury awarded a family a muti-million lawsuit against a major trucking company.
The family's drunk son (1.8 BAC) plowed into the back of a parked
truck with his hazard lights on. The truck was on the shoulder with both his parking, and hazard lights on. He was lost and looking at a map. The drunken, underaged boy plowed into the the back of the truck at around 85 mph, and the jury found the trucking company negligent. That is a true story.

Usually, if a trucker is in front of you and you can pass, he will turn his LEFT blinker on for 2 or 3 flashes which means "ok to pass". You can do the same thing. Just keep it down to 2 or 3 flashes. Keep your eye on the other car to make sure just what they are doing or intend to do.

The person, behind you, shouldn't even try to pass until HE/SHE can see clearly ahead. Good luck. Pops

The best thing to do is pull to the right side of your lane so the person behind you can see past you. When you pull to the side slow down a little so they will pass you. Don,t signal unless you intend to turn. Misunderstandings usually cause accidents.

You flash the right turn inducator once or twice and move to your left to let the vehicle behind you to overtake

It is always better to just slow down and they will pass you if they want to overtake you. No reason to signal to them. its a safety issue for both of you.

if you want some one to pass you just roll down the window and wave him around you. as for you passing some one else you never know what the fool ahead is going to do

slow slightly & move to the right side of the road...if they still don't get it hazard lights added to the combination may work
