What does it mean when your ex talks about u and keeps your IM's?

Today, Friday, and yesterday my ex was talking about me. Then he mentioned my name out of the blue. And he said my name for some reason. And friday he showed my friend that he kept my e-mails. And I sent them 3 months ago. Why would he do all this? He dumped me b/c I hurt him awhile back when we were daiting.
