Honestly it seems that God has become some sort of helper for man or someone that takes care of a persons dirty bussiness and personal issues but once the problem is solved later on they will forget God.Although God has infinite power is it not ridiculous people do this?

Desperate times call for desperate measures I guess. I go out of my way to avoid asking God for anything and instead concentrate on giving Him praise in good times and bad.

arunmadav2013,
"Why is it that a human will pray to god and love him only when he is suffering a dificulty and needs help?"
Because they are immature in their faith. They lean on Him only whene they think they need to. Not when the good times come around. It's just growth that the person needs to learn. And for Christianity it's hearing the Word of God that brings trust and the relationship that we are to have with God.

". . . is it not ridiculous people do this?"
Perhaps ridiculous. But better to focus on God throughout the time spent on Earth, yes?

That is the case with many people, but it is not a universal rule.

One's prayer life depends upon one's level of spiritual advancement.

The levels of prayer can be roughly divided into three, each level depending upon the spiritual level the person is at.

(1) Prayer from a motive of fear: People pray this way only as a last resort to get them out of a jam.

(2) Prayer to receive good things from God: At this level people believe in the goodness and love of God, but they are only mercenaries at this point. They pray, only, to receive the good things that God can give.

(3) Prayer to help others and bring glory to God: This is the highest and purest level, in that self-interest is transcended and they want to see things right for their own sakes and people not to suffer because they are genuinely concerned about others. They also pray that God be more loved because He is the highest good, simply because it is due to God, not because they will gain an advantage from it.

Of course they still pray for their own needs when appropriate, but their whole focus is towards others.

It's human nature for a person to turn to God when he/she needs help with a problem. Even people who normally don't pray or go to church will ask for God's help when in trouble. Personally, I believe one should talk to God whether in need or not. It would be nice if all people did that, however, it takes all kinds of people and all types of religion to make the world go 'round. It certainly makes for a more interesting, if not perfect earth.

I enjoy and love God even when I'm not suffering from something. Sometimes I have been extremely happy, in a little "paradise", one might say, and I go out in a canoe, quietly, alone, and just enjoy God in nature, I talk to Him and feel He is with me.
However I am glad He is there for me in times of trouble too. Sometimes trouble can have the opposite effect: We tend to get away from God to hide in our own selves during a difficulty, and we have to be reminded we can turn ot God.

It's only by convenience. In good times people forget to be thankful. They don't need help then. In bad times I guess it is the desire for instant gratification that only a divinity can provide. We haven't learned anything in the last two thousand years!

It depends on the individual. I pray every night and thank God constantly for the blessings He has bestowed upon me.

You are so right, that is true of so many today! Of course not everyone is like that! Then too some might wonder why God does not answer their prayers.

I believe in giving thanks more than asking for things. You don't have to ask; God will give you what you need, even if it's not what you want.
