When my wounds are about to heal, they start to itch. Why is is like this? Any one here to help me understand this? Your help is greatly appreciated.

its normal because it begins to heal. wound closes

One of the last processes in healing is the regeneration of the nerve endings in the skin surface, and while setting up shop, can frequently send false signals.

I had abdominal surgery and once in a while, the itching would be internal, like up under my right ribs, almost no way to scratch that itch!

This is probably because you skin is dry, especially if there is a scab there. Put some lotion around the area, if possible. Whatever you do, don't scratch the wounds! The itching will stop very soon.

WHEN YOUR WOUNDS ARE ITCHING THAT MEANS THAT THE WOUNDS ARE HAILING THE BEST THINK IS NOT TO SCRATCH IT BECAUSE YOU COULD INFECT IT AND IT WILL BE WORSE FOR YOU
