It is very hard to develop a relationship with anyone especially God instantaneously it will take time and prayer and seeking him in his word but I assure you he is there and he does love you.God reveals himself in those who seek him..to those who see value...it is imperative that you seek him with all of your heart and he has promised to reveal himself to you. Seek God in his word and in prayer. God has a purpose for you and he is reaching out to you every moment of every day.God loved us all while we were yet sinners enough to be tortured and die in our place he is not hiding from you he is there and will reveal himself to you.

Suicide (for any reason other than a painful terminal illness) is quite frankly taking the easy way out. And there is no turning back from that decision. And depending upon your beliefs, the fruit of that decision may not be to your liking.

Why would you give up such a wonderful and precious gift as your life? Look at people who have so much less than you, yet they still cherish each moment. Aren't you being rather vain to think that your petty problems warrant throwing away that gift when you still have so much to offer the world?

Regardless of your religious beliefs, only you have power over YOUR life or death. You can't wash your hands of that responsibility by saying that if there was a supreme being he/she would "give" you the reason for living. Almost all religions say we have "free will." When you try to make someone else...even a higher being...responsible for whether you live or die, you are trying to defer your responsibilities for living onto someone else. At the very least, that is cowardly. On a higher level, it is selfish AND foolish.

I strongly encourage you to think again.

The way God is presented makes a lot of people confused and difficult to believe .

The fact that you are Alive is a good reason to be happy and satisfied that YOU EXIST.
You have to make the reasons for your been , by Making your self the best you can be.....
Around you there are a million reasons for you to feel needed.
People die from hunger, Terrorism, Crimes, War, health problems.
If you have the possibility and help in any way you can ..you are going to realize that God lives in You and Through you to the people around you....
As you are going to be needed you are going to realize that You have to live because other people need you....
This is as much as I can think of , I do not know why you feel depressed ...look around and you will see God in everything around you....
Suicide is not the answer ...even when you are down ....Stand up and fight.....You will die (like anyone ) at the end...But as Fighter not as a chicken running away from the problems ahead.

1) If there's any way to get in to see a therapist start there. Whatever you do, begin by making sure people who care about you personally if not professionally know what you're feeling.
2) Maybe belief in God would help - maybe it wouldn't. Examine the possibility of whether other things would help as well. I think the suggestion that you do some volunteer work might be a good one. Just doing anything positive may make things better. Just make some positive change, no matter how small.
3) If you're one of the people who intuitively understands religion and the idea of God to be irrational, I wouldn't try forcing that on yourself. In the end I don't think you'll find what you're after that way.

Good luck.

I once felt as you did...until someone asked me what right I had to end my life and leave my loved ones with the guilt of my death. The guilt of not being able to stop me or help me. The guilt of being alive when I wasn't. Belief in God is a personal thing. Look around you. See that beautiful sunset? Who put it there and why? That baby smiling? It's smiling to show you that there IS a reason for living. It's smiling because it still hears the Angel's singing. I am not an overly religious person, but I believe in a Higher Power now.

The fact that you know that faith would help you feel better is a good start. The fact that you are searching for God means you are on the path to finding God. I believe it was Einstein said that you can look at it as if everything is a miracle, or nothing is a miracle. I choose to see the miracles. I've been in the same place you are - please remember that things ALWAYS get better. Life is up and down and this too shall pass. BLESS>

Talk to a friend, a family member or a counselor if you feel depressed.

Regarding your question about belief in God - I have never questioned for a moment whether the air I breathe into my lungs is filled with oxygen or is it nitrogen? or if the air I breathe out is Carbondioxide or perhaps carbon monoxide? No one told me that I can see electricity either. I just believe because I see how it works..God is a spirit, you cannot see Him with your natural eyes. But you gotta believe that He exists in the hearts of loving people. Look around, they are all around you. You can be one too where God has a personal residence. God bless you. All you have to do is extend an invitation just like you would invite a friend. Sharing from just my own personal experience with God. He has never gone back on His word.

http://www.metanoia.org/suicide/ I've struggled with this same problem-almost every site about suicide says that putting your faith in a higher power is the best/only way to get better. Well, I still don;t believe in God (although I wish I did) and I'm still here, 2 years later. I recommend that you write down what you'd say to God is he existed. I was so angry at God for letting me want to die and not just taking me away-and I've heard that you can;t be mad at someone you don't believe in, no matter how hard you try. I'm not comvinced, but getting my feelings out helped.
E-mail me to chat, good luck! Suicide is not an easy way out, and pain does fade.

Your problem isn't about believing in God. It sounds like you have to start believing in yourself. Whether you believe in God, or not, you still have freedom of choice.

If you need a reason to live, I have a suggestion... Make a list of things you enjoy doing, and make sure you do something from your list a couple of times a week. You will enjoy life a whole lot more.

First, you need to address the issue that you feel so low that you are considering suicide. You really need to see a therapist for that and not try to have some internet message board fix it. One way to solve that and your God questions is to talk to a priest, rabbi, or other religous leaders. Many people find strenght in religon. Perhaps you just have not researched the correct religon for you,

My suggestion is simple - Pray...I am not trying to shove religion down your throat, but it sounds to me as if you are searching for God, and He will reveal Himself to you if you ask Him.

We all have moments of doubt and insecurity. Maybe another thing you could do is talk to a member of the clergy...I am kinda grasping at straws now. My best suggestion is what I originally said.

GOOD LUCK
