I should go back on birth control. The problem we have 5 kids concieved on birth control. I plan on having a tubal just as soon as our youngest ( 8 weeks ) is done nursing but in the mean time I refuse to have sex with him until I know for sure he is sterile. Am I wrong??? He refuses to wear condoms.

NO! You are NOT wrong. It's stupid of him to not go back and make sure the vasectomy worked...all he needs to do is take a sample of semen in that is less than 3 hours old. If you get pregnant on BC pills and already have 5 kids (actually 6 because he sounds immature), then there is no reason to use them. And why should you have to undergo invasive surgery for a tubal, when all he has to do is give a semen sample to test the procedure? He "did his part"??? What about YOU??? YOU are the one who gave birth 5 times! Good luck, dear...I have a feeling you're going to need it

Well, you could actually convince him to let you help put the specimen in the bottle and drop it off for him. I'm sure he will agree to that.... They shouldn't charge for the testing as it is usually part of the cost. The risk of a vasectomy not working is very very small. (Kinda like his thing!lol)
