What would one look for when buying an electronic keyboard?

Features? Brands? etc. I am an adult beginner. I want something
that has a quality sound. What would be a good buy?

I would give serious consideration to Casio brand keyboards...they are reasonably priced, but have quality sound. They cost about $125 and up...but great to learn on and even use professionally

1) Go to a reputable piano and keyboard dealer.
2) Take your time shopping.
3) A full sized piano has 88 keys. Try and get as many as you can.

I wouldn't worry too much with bells and whistles. You'll want foot pedals, though.
