There are a number of very individualistic Christians who feel that diseases can be cured by "faith healing", and there has been resistance to using conventional medical care.
Christian Scientists typically do not use medications, IIRC----but check Wikipedia.
Jehovah's Witnesses will not permit blood transfusions, or use of "foreign" blood products from another person. I **THINK** they are reasonably OK with autotransfusion (where you've donated your own blood in advance, for later transfusion), or with blood-saving measures where your own stuff is purified and recirculated. The origin for this lies in the prohibition against "eating/consuming blood".

Acts 15:29 shows that Holy Spirit directed the things
the Apostles prayed about... Says abstain from blood
in the same verse which commands Christians to
avoid fornication & Idols! People generally interpret each
of those things differently, even in the SAME religion...
But guess what! Time has proven the value of abstaining
from the things mentioned there...
If you truly want the very BEST
medical care for your loved ones, go bloodless!
MAJOR surgeries are being done sucessfully every day
without use of blood...
If you're really interested ask the best surgeons about
the the latest options! What a shame to risk contracting
an uncurable disease when alternatives are available.
Ah, the Creator knew best all along, just as He knows
the outcome for fornicators & idolators.
Maybe you think those are breakable commands also? :(
By the way,Luke (the physician) was the writer of Acts 15:29

Jehovahs' fools don't want you to have blood when you're bleeding to death. That's pretty cool.
There's this whole room of stupid family members watching their loved one's suffocate and suffer when a pint of blood would turn em' around. But NOOOO! Can't do that in the name of their stupid god.
It's just entertainment.
But if it's a child, we can kick em' out and say "SCREW YOU." We're saving it's life.
