A lot of interesting points have been made. Here's what I think. I don't think Lucifer has ever asked for forgiveness. The Bible tells us that Lucifer was the greatest of all the angels, the pinacle of God's creative work. Lucifer began thinking that he was not only the best angel, but that he would overthrow God and become a god himself. I'm thinking he desired the worship that is rightfully reserved for the Lord.

Lucifer must've been one helluva salesman. The Bible tells us there was a great war in heaven---a civil war if you will. On one side was the Lord and his angels and on the other side was Lucifer and the angels he was able to recruit to his side. The Bible tells us that he was able to get a third of the angels in heaven to turn against the Lord and go to the dark side---literally.

The Lord and his angels won the battle and Lucifer and his angels were cast out of heaven. Why didn't the Lord go ahead and finish Lucifer and his angels off? I don't know. Biblical prophecy says that in the end Lucifer and his angels will be cast into the lake of fire for all time.

Long story---I don't think Lucifer has ever asked for God's forgiveness. I don't think he wants God's forgiveness. Didn't one author attribute the quote "Better to reign in Hell than to serve in Heaven" to Lucifer?

If Lucifer would ask forgiveness, what would God do? I guess if he was earnest and serious about it, the Lord would forgive. But I just don't know for sure.

Good question. Obviously God did not forgive Lucifer. But are you assuming that Lucifer truly repented and asked God for forgiveness, and God refused? I don't think anyone reading the Bible will get this idea.

sorry I am not christian but I have your answer because lucifer and god dissagreed and still dissagree lucifer knows that god can let people live and that they don't need to die. And he doesn't think people should die unlike god so lucifer let in everyone cause he felt bad for them and there was a fight and licifer doesn't want to be forgiven cause he doesn't believe in the way god does things.

Satan is an angel - a created order, as each angel was created on an individual basis. Not as man with a blood line. For any angel who stood in Gods presence to sin such as Lucifer (of which he chose to do in pride), and a 1/3 of the angels followed - it became impossible to be forgiven. Unlike it is with man, who have the blood of Christ to wash away our sin(s).

Forgiveness requires repentance. Lucifer hates God and will not repent.

The same reason god didn't forgive his flock when he killed them in Sodom and Gomorrah, or with the great flood. Or even when he doomed us for all humanity with that apple.

The christian God is fickle and plays by his own rules. Which, to say, is kinda pointless b/c he supposedly knows all and therefore everything that is going to happen.

Ever think about that, christians? IT throws free will out the window b/c your God already knows if you'll be saved or not, it's not up to you and how you lead this life.

Just like Satan has no free will, God put him on this earth. If satan did wish to repent, God already knows he won't, which is to say that God won't let him due to omnipotence and omniscience.

Scary God you have there.

Because in order to be forgiven he would have had to love God and honestly repent, and Lucifer hates God and is not sorry.

Because Lucifer, aka Satan, commited the unpardonable sin. He grieved the Holy Spirit and can not be forgiven.

Atheist Eye Candy,
Because He didn't offer it to Satan. And Satna doesn't want it. His nature changed from whatever it was, to the influence upon mankind that he has ever been. The bible says that he decieves the whole world. I think that I am pretty blessed to not be under his stupidity.

How would I know that? Because Jesus said,"My sheep know my voice." And I know what He tells me is true. The Bible also says that. You know that you are decieved if you doubt God. And I don't doubt God.
