.... so let me tell you the story. me and my friends were filming a video of us just screwing around. one of my buds thought of the stupid idea of going to the railroad tracks and onto a bridge to throw rocks at cars. he was the only one who was throwing them at cars. the rest of us didnt. then my other friend saw a cop on a street further down the tracks so we decided to run (we didnt know if the cop saw us or not i dont think he did) but as we were leaving the friend who was throwing the rocks chucked the one in his hand out and he freakin hit a car (that time he didnt even mean to hit a car) so we ran away. to make a long story short the cops ended up catching us. and they said this would go to the juvenile department. im guessing all i should get in trouble for is the trespassing since i never really threw a rock. what kind of punishment could i get for this situation?

Ok, if you "really did not want" to do it, you would have not went there with them.

You will be held responsible for the damge of throwing the rocks, and all of the parents will have to pay for all the damage they did.

Also this is a serious ( very, very serious) crime, it can be considered an assualt with intent to do harm ( or some other level of assult) since people in cars have been killed very often by people doing this.

So I would say a large, fine, maybe even time in juv detention or a boot camp. I would say you will be sent away for a while for being part of this.

In our youth we sometimes get outselves into situations that we are unable to control.

I'm sure that if you thought you were all getting yourself into some sort of situation which could possibly take away your liberty you would have thought more about it and not done it.

There are a number of charges they could possibly file on you all: trespassing, criminal damage, assault, even possibly attempted manslaughter to tell you the truth because you could have killed that person!!! It's not going to be that easy :. (

It's easy to say that you were wrong that's a gimmee -- your not saying it wasn't wrong or that you weren't a part of it because thats not the case.

You did however, run from a scene which might not have even happened if you hadn't run in the first place.

That "friend" of yours couldn't possibly still be in the circle of friends your still keeping. Look at the fine mess he's helped you get into. I'd be uninviting him to any parties for sure.

If you got this incident on the video was it confiscated as evidence? If it was confiscated and your telling the truth then you don't have much to worry about especially if it shows the guy that did it and you weren't him. That is evidence that could be used either for you or against you in Court depending on its contents?

Perhaps you could find that out as it might have a great deal to do with your proving you were innocent to the actual "catastrophe" and brother it was a catastrophe whether you believe it or not.

If this is a first offense depending on the State your in and the penalties for that offense (you can check in the State statutes and find out the penalties on line) maybe you could get this passed you with no time to be served. Find out what the actual charges are because that is going to have a great impact on the whole situation.

Bottom line: You were a party to all of it and as such you'll have to find the way to lessen the severity of your charges if at all possible.

You should step back and take a look at the whole picture then decide what it is that your going to do in the future to keep yourself out of that type of trouble. Have you done anything to keep yourself out of that trouble and are you going to find a new circle of friends to hang out with?

Couldn't you join a gym or find some after school work that you could start doing to pay back whatever it is in fines you might be facing? Is it possible for you to get with your friends and try to come up with the funds (if not already) to pay the costs of the damages back to the driver as this could have an impact on the Court?

You are a very lucky man that there weren't several other charges placed on the lot of you. Who knows there still might be. It is a very dangerous thing when items are thrown on vehicle travelling at any speed as they become bullets no matter how big the rock. It can cause major hardships to veryone involved especially the family of the victim on the receiving end.

I suggest you grow up NOW up because you are a man and as such the next time (which there BETTER NOT BE) anything like this happens you will be facing jail time which is NOT A PLACE to begin your life as an adult.

Stop the crime because my son I know you do NOT WANT TO DO ANY TIME! It's not worth it!!! Nobody is worth giving up your freedom and being locked down in a box for any amount of time. Being in a cage is not a place I'd recommend for you. Stay Free and Stay Outta Trouble!!!

Do some research and buck up soldier its going to be a hardship life lesson which will change you forever!!

............think about it............

People work hard for the money they make and for the things they buy. You and your friends should show some respect to others and not go out trying to damage and hurt those around you. I personally would like to see each of you get sentenced to the max. I will say this, if you threw a rock at my car and caused anyone in my family to be hurt or killed the law would be the LEAST of your worries.

Trespassing is a misdeamnor and will most likley only get you (your parents) a fine as long as your juvenile record is clear from the past. This is what you would consider "guilty by association." I don't mean to slander your friends, but if they're stupid enough to do this than it's time to start looking for new ones. Don't let stupidity jepordize your future. As you have already learned you don't even have to be the one that commits the crime to also get in trouble.

Hopefully no one was injured by the rock throwing incident as far as damages you are all an` accessory after the fact and will all get probation. If any damages were made to the vehicle you will all be liable for that. What you all did could have killed or maimed someone seriously and you put the lives of many motorist and the public in jeopardy. Besides your probation, if no one was seriously hurt I'd recommend to your parents to maintain more control over your actions as they too can and will be held accountable for your lack of concern for the safety of the general public. and that they provide an additional punishment to reinforce the dangers and loss of lives you could have created by your actions..

Well, when all has been said and done, dues paid, and lessons learned, here is advice for the next time you are with people who are doing "stupid" things, which you do not wish to partake in.
1. Leave their company immediately. Just go home. Go away from them.
2. If the "stupid" thing could kill or maim a another person, then when you "go away," be sure and report that person A.S.A.P. to the police.

Don't hang around with criminals and you won't be mistaken for one.

no longer sufficient tips to answer the question. Did he throw automobiles at parked automobiles that did no longer have human beings in them, or did he throw rocks at moving automobiles, doubtlessly inflicting a severe twist of destiny? replaced into all of us harm? Are you asking ought to he be charged with a criminal, or is he being charged with a criminal? How previous is he? If he's a juvenile and that's his first offense, he would get off particularly relatively and have his checklist expunged while he's eighteen. it truthfully relies upon.

I had a horrible accident with my child in the car because of idiots throwing rocks off the overpass.

So I think you should go to jail for a very long time....you and your friends could kill someone.
