Teeth loose their whiteness due to age,
cavities and eatingfood like coffee,tea,
cola which stain the teeth.Tobacoo and
some antibiotics also cause stains.
Commercial tooth whiteners use hydrogen
peroxide and are expensive and inconvenient.
A cheap and natural tooth whitening home
remedy uses few strawberries but certain
precautions have to be taken.I found the
information at http://tinyurl.com/ep7yg

Sorry to break it to you....but I'm a dental assistant, and nothing that you can buy at the pharmacy (or grocery store for that matter) works on whitening your teeth. You say you don't drink coffee, but do you drink tea (it stains more than coffee), or red wine, even soya sauce will stain teeth. Your best bet is to go to your dentist and get the tray bleaching...they'll take moulds of your teeth and make you trays out of thin plastic to fit your teeth very accurately; then they'll give you tubes of bleaching solution and you'll where the trays (with solution) for 7-10 days....you'll notice a gradual whitening, and the bonus is you can stop when you're satisfied with the result....the reason you should get it at the dentist is their stuff has fluoride in it...it'll desensitize your teeth as you bleach..the stuff in the pharmacy has no fluoride (or very little) and your teeth will sting while using the product. I hope this helped :)

Crest White Strips, on sale.
Don't smoke or drink coffee!!!!
If you are a smoker you are wasting your money. Many dentists won't even whiten their patients teeth if they are a smoker!
Crest white strips don't hurt and I use them. I've never had any negative side effects. Don't use the paint on products, they don't work.
One of the dentists I work for recommends to his patients to try the white strips first, if they are not happy with the results and still want to spend the big $$$, he will bleach their teeth, as long as they are not a smoker. He is a very good, ethical dentist (he is also a perfectionist, many people refuse to work for him because he is hard on his staff) who does not want his patients to waste their hard earned money on bleaching trays when they may be satisfied with the results from using Crest white strips.
Obviously everybody is different. Some people may not achieve the dramatic results I did. I show everyone my before/after pictures because I am amazed at the results. I honestly didn't think my teeth were that bad to begin with.
If you have intrensic stain, caused from decalcification (enamel eroding from too much pop/juice) or tetracycline staining (condition that occurs during tooth development) it won't work. You need to ask your dentist if bleaching will be effective for your teeth.
Don't bother trying it if you have dental work, your natural tooth will lighten, but the old filling will still be yellow because it does not whiten dental work.

I knew someone who brushed her teeth with peroxide and baking soda. She had some of the whitest teeth I;ve ever see. Cost, less than $3.

Any toothpaste with whitening ingredients. Limit drinks with caffeine (tea, coffe, cola) because they stain your teeth.
