It depends on what kind of headache you're experiencing. If it's a sinus headache, you may need an antihistamine or decongestant, plus something for pain. If you have a sinus infection, you may need an antibiotic.
Massaging the neck and temples may help a tension headache.
Applying warm compresses might help a sinus headache; ice/cold compresses on the neck may ease a tension headache.
I have heard that a few drops of essential oils such as lavendar, peppermint, etc. in water can be used as a solution for a compress to apply to the head or neck.
It your headache is hormonal or migraine, you'll probably need a pain relief medication.
If it's a bad headache, you need to see a doctor to determine the cause and treatment. Five days is too long to cope with a headache.

I have suffered from migraines for years and sometimes they have lasted for several days. The trick is to take a medication as soon as you feel a headache coming on. Sometimes the simplest remedies work- I take 600mg of Ibuprofen along with 50mg of gravol and seldom have to repeat the dose. The gravol has a sedative effect so I fall asleep but when I wake up the headache is most often gone. You should be seeing a Dr. to try and determine the cause of the headache.

pinch your earlope, pinch your eyebrow or you can press your thumb into the space on your other hand between your thumb and your index finger there is a pressure point that will stop your headache you hold that spot for 1 minute and you should get results if it huts like hell when you do this then your in the right spot you can also put a bag of ice at the base of your head where the spine meets your skull and hold it there until it stops if none of this works then you have migranes and you need to go to the ER and get a shot for the pain and you may want to get your blood pressure checked i have migranes and i know how you feal but when i got on blood pressure pills to lower my bloodpressure i stop having so many headaches

you should see a doctor. A 5 day headache may not be just a headache.
There are various types and stages of headaches. Without knowing the cause and the type of headache, it is impossible to give any kind of cure.

Breathe in and then out-----one nostril at a time. Close one nostril with the tip of the finger, breathe in through the other, close that and breathe out with the other. 3-4 times a day, 3-4 minutes every time. It works for me!
