that caused babies many health problems. The main thing was birth defects as leg/arm loss. Born with flipper type arms /legs. As a little girl I went to music with a boy like this. What is that condition called and what was the name of the pills?

Thalidomide was given to moms to try and help with morning sickness.
this drug at that time was thought to be safe for the mom and the baby... just like medicines given to people today are thought at this time to be safe for people to take...who knows what it will do to use years later or what it may do to your gens you pass on to your children or children's children...
this is why I take very very few pills of any kind...

The medicine is called Thalidomide. It was meant to prevent miscarriage, so a lot of women took it before they knew the risks.

I think you are thinking of the medicine that they once gave women to not have miscarriages. Thalidomide. It produced babies with missing or partial arms.
