A few years ago I booked and paid over internet through a well publisized company. The day before I was due to leave I had not received my tickets despite numerous phonecalls and assurances they had been posted THEY WERE NEVER DELIVERED! HAd to go into the city to pick them up 12 hours before departure! Whilst I was away one hotel had been booked for the month AFTER I had reutrned so I had to pay the hotel up front despite many promises that the money was forthcoming I had to get Consumer Affairs onto it to recieve the money even though the agent admitted liablity.

How about using well-known large companies, or trusted small companies, based on the Internet research I'm sure you'll embark upon?

May I ask though, if you experienced such problems in previous travels why would you even consider purchasing again online? I mean I can tell you in 8 years I have never once had a client "not" receive documents! I can't speak for all agents, but I know I'm reliable and I take very good care of my clients and if I can do anything in my power for them to not have problems consider it already done!

Now in the event problems do occur (which they can) I do all I can to get them resolved. This sort of service the Internet never can or will provide to a consumer. Plus check with a travel agent, in fact it is quite possible you may think online is lower because for so many years agents were undercut only for them now to be raising prices and there are just so many people they won't even compare anymore!

So please please just skip online and find yourself a good agent who can take care of all your needs, questions and concerns.

No matter where it is you plan to go I wish you the best and just strongly consider not allowing online to put you through this strain again! You have no idea how many horror stories we hear every year from online!!
