God, our Father, is not an angry God. He wants to bless you and walk with you. If you fall into sin, He has provided redemption through our Lord, Jesus. People have been misrepresenting God for a long time. These people do not know God.

The Bible says that God is the complete expression of love. Matthew, 10:29-31
That it is God's desire to lavish His love on us.
Gen.1:27
He even rejoices over us with singing! Zeph.3:17
He comforts us in all our troubles! 2Cor.1:3-4
Revelation says that one day, He will wipe every tear from our eyes!

Now I ask you, does that sound like an angry upset God to you? Besides, if God used thunderbolts, I would have been fried by now!

Dear Icarus,

The awesome uncreated Creator of the universe does not want to zap you. He loves you. In fact He proved His love for your by sending His Son to die on the cross for you.

Edit: Before you reached the teens did you have a desire to upset your parents to make then send you to your bedroom or to withhold privileges?

The Alpha and the Omega wants you to know Him as your heavenly Father. He is very patient knowing that we are but dust. However none of us has eternity to choose Jesus Christ as LORD and Savior.

Once you do choose Him I promise you that you will wonder why you waited so long.

For the most part, I believe God to be forgiving and loving towards his creation. On the other hand, he is a just God and like a parent, requires our obedience. What good parent would neglect to discipline their own children?

Thankfully, God gave his only Son to die for our sins. Simply ask for forgiveness and you won't have to worry about the thunderbolt. The only way to learn is to ask questions.

I dont know about thunderbolts, but if you dont believe in coincidence, and you do believe in a personal active God, you are forced to conclude through his many earthquakes, that he has some beef with the Muslim world.

I am agnostic, so I dont entertain the idea....mind you...

He really doesn't want to zap people with thunderbolts.

Ezekiel 18:21 But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die. 22 All his transgressions that he hath committed, they shall not be mentioned unto him: in his righteousness that he hath done he shall live. 23 Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord GOD: and not that he should return from his ways, and live?

He gave you free will after Adam & Eve ate the fruit of the Tree of knowlege. His actions are unseen.

Your " thunderbolts " will not be recognized, but they WILL happen.

Just wait.

Stuff kind of similar to that only happened in the old testament when God decided to cut short the life of really corrupt people. We are no longer in that phase of God's perfect plan. God will not love anyone anyless according to how much sin they have dragging them down.
