Just because you go does not mean you have to drink, you are old enough to make your own choices... just play it off casually - when your offered, just say no thanks I m good... and keep going. No big deal. Or tell them your practicing to be the DD whatever you tell them just be honest because only you can make the choice to drink, to get drunk and to lose control of the situation.

There is always the coyote ugly "way" carry around a half empty beer bottle and act like your taking a shot or a swig and just spit the alcohol back into the bottle. Then toss it in the trash a little later.

I am honestly truly surprised at how many people suggested that you go and just "not drink". Peer pressure is sly and sneaky, and even if you're strong enough, maybe your best friend isn't, and best friends area heck of alot harder to ignore than the hostess.

Besides, it is really dumb and pathetic to go to a party just because "every one is going to be there". IMO, it is a reason for the opposite. If 'everyone' is going to be there, which I take to mean everyone preppy, self-conceited, stuck-up, materially focused, and otherwise known as 'popular', and drinking is involved, then it is never fun to see everyone else getting busted and being perhaps in the wrong place at the wrong time. If you're only 14, then you should know that there will always be more parties. The thought of a bunch of young teens with booze really scares me, since sober 14 yos are crazy enough already.

Please please don't go. You're risking so much if you do: parent's trust, trouble with police, giving in to peer pressure, and maybe even your own self-worth. None of that is worth it for your 15 minutes of glory. A night with some friends, maybe some crazy music or a movie that will leave you guys sufficiently creeped out will end up being so much more enjoyable, and you'll be so much more relaxed too. Not just avoiding temptation, but you can be yourself, not a wannabe popular. The choices you make now are a hint of the choices you make in the future. If you're only 14 and have access to parties with beer, it definitely leaves you to think about what kind of stuff you might be tempted to do in a couple years or so.

ok, first of all, you are 14 and do not need to start drinking yet, i'm sorry, but that is just TOO young.
if you wanna go to her party, that's fine. but if you don't wanna drink, you don't have to!!! no one is gonna shove beer down your throat. don't give into peer pressure when it comes to drugs or alcohol. I go to parties all the time, and sometimes i choose to not drink, and i have never been teased about it.

here is my experience with young drinkers-they don't know their limit and try to keep up with the older kids. they end up having too much to drink, and puke and spend the night over a tiolet bowl (doesn't that sound fun??) and the next day they feel like ****!!

Go to the party, and have fun. Don't do anything you don't wanna do. if you choose to drink, only have 1, that way you won't get sick. HAVE FUN, and no puking! :)

I would say don't go. If you're going just cause the popular people are going, do you think you're gonna have that much fun- a serious question to ask yourself. If you don't want to be tempted by alcohol, stay away from it. I wouldn't go, personally, but it's your choice. I'm happy that you're realizing that drinking is wrong at a young age- alot of friends of mine are that age and don't see anything wrong with it. Good for you.

You should'nt go because you might get tricked to drink beer and that is breaking the mfor your age so you should stay home and not go.unless you look at the lables and ask what the drinks are.if you go you do not want the police seeing you drink beer.if i were invited i would'nt even go it's too risky.by the way if your in high school or middle school you might want to go because your popularity might go up and you don't want to be left out right.they might talk about it and ask you how the party was and the bad part is that they might know you were'nt there.so it is good and bad it's your option to go or not.Not mine

There is an old adage that goes something like this-
When in doubt don't.
if you feel you want to go, just have your own drinks of juice, cyder or fizzy drinks. And be super vigilant to keep your own personal drink safe.
Go and enjoy the company not the grog.

Don't go. There are plenty more parties to come that you'll be comfortable going to. Popularity is a joke...it doesn't exist once you are out of school. Just do what YOU are most comfortable doing. Besides, that party sounds like trouble if there is underage drinking. I'd stay away. Far far away.

Stay home.... she is bad news.. or have some of your friends over and hand out treats and dress up and rent a scary movie! If you know that she is going to have that it is best to avoid her. You do not need that kind of popularity because it will lead to trouble later in life :) Have fun!!
