Actually, there is biblical reference to just that. The story of JOB consists of God "testing" (read that "torturing") Job to prove to the devil that Job would not break his faith no matter what. The devil challenged God with harsher and harsher tortures for Job, and God did them each time. No reason why the almighty God needed to prove anything to the vanquished devil, so it must have been for a more entertaining reason.
And the bible does state that God created all things in heaven and Earth, so he clearly created the devil and evil. Why he didn't remove them from man's presence, the bible doesn't say.

In ancient Jewish tradition Satan is simply an angel doing the work that God assigned to Satan to do.
The word Satan means challenger. With the idea of Satan challenging us, or tempting if you will. This description sees Satan as the angel who is the embodiment of man's challenges. This idea of Satan works closely with God as an integral part of Gods plan for us. His job is to make choosing good over evil enough of a challenge so that it becomes clear to us that there can be only one meaningful or logical choice.
Contrast this to Christianity, which sees Satan as God's opponent. In Jewish thought, the idea that there exists anything capable of setting itself up as God's opponent would be considered polytheistic or setting up the devil to be an equally powerful polarity to god or a demigod.
Oddly, proof for The Christian satan/devil mythology is supposedly found in the ancient Jewish texts that were borrowed to create the bible. One can’t help but wonder how Christians came up with such a fantastically different interpretation of Gods assistant Satan in their theology.
Other hints about Satan’s role in human relations can be seen if you look at the name Lucifer. It’s meaning in the original tongue translates as Light bearer or light bringer. Essentially the bringer of enlightenment. The temptations of the Satan idea bring all of us eventually into Gods light. Hardly the Evil entity of Christian mythology.

Just like every action has a reaction, and every coin has two sides, god has to have an opposite - satan.
If the world was perfect, and everything was good, what are we supposed to do here anyway? We wouldn't have to break our backs to earn money for food, we would have as much of it as we want. We wouldn't have to care about leaving the doors of our houses unlocked, we wouldn't even need houses for anything other than just plain and simple shelter. No one would be sad. No one would be sick. That's a ton of space freed up from where all the hospitals used to be. We'd have no forms of entertainment whatsoever because remember, every book, every movie, every video game, and every story in general, has an antagonist. If there's none of your so called "evil", the existence of this world would be completely pointless.
Now, I don't exactly believe in god and satan, but I do believe there are two forces -good and evil- on this earth(obviously). No matter what form they are in, and what your interpretation of life and earth is, the above is always true. Good cannot exist without evil, because if you don't know evil, then good wouldn't be good, it would just be nothing. It would make no difference to you, therefore it won't really exist. (The same thing goes for the coin- you can't have one side of a coin, without the other.)
So yeah, to answer your question, I would say, yes, god and satan must be best buddies!

Definitely. They are best friends. If "Satan" didn't "exist" then "God" wouldn't have a foil to be compared against. He needs a really bad guy around to make him look good! And he needs someone to blame for all the evils of the world.
Then, when something "miraculous" happens, the believers can claim it was God and have something to jump up and sing about! Halleluja! Cast out the demons of hell for God is almighty and he will save us! Woohoo! Damn you sinners! Repent! etc, etc...
Just another aspect of the sheep mentality that Christians are so apt to sucumb to. God forbid they have their own opinions or take responsibility for their own actions in this life. Much easier to blame Satan for their problems and put all their trust in God instead of actually trying to do something productive themselves. It's all about the Blame Game! Gotta have a scapegoat and Satan is the perfect choice.
I think God and Satan love to hang out and watch the effect that religion has on the world. They must be cracking the heck up! What a grand experiment...

I'm gonna say a prayer for you that someday, instead of being a lost soul, you will find the Word of God and feel His love and mercy. All of the questions you are posing show that you have little knowledge of God. I recommend finding a church and signing up for a Bible study. It's amazing what you will learn. You seem very unclear on the concept and are behaving this way (asking these types of questions) for attention. You have mine and I have lifted you up.

I think that you have a very warped sense of God and his relationship with man. If you had a wonderful friend who sang beautiful music and was very close to your heart until one day you find out that your friend is plotting to overthrow you and destroy everything that you have created would you want to keep him around for old times sake. God is all powerful he cast Satan and all the angles who wanted to go out of heaven and he created man. he wanted someone to worship him out of love not what he could do for them so he gave us a choice as to what we do. Love him and be loved in return or reject him and choose to become one with Satan and his demons.I am very seldom vexed in my soul by the mear words of an irreverent unbeliever but i can assure you that your words and your attitude are so self righteous that you tread dangerous ground. It is not for me to judge but there is a warning against blaspheming being the unpardonable sin. I pray for you and I shudder to think what is in store for you if you continue down this road.

He does talk with him from time to time,as you can see in Job I,and Zechariah 3.God has a time for everything. He gave man 120 years to straighten up before the flood. He told Abraham he'd give the Amorites 450 years to knock off the crap they were up to.Like Peter says"A day with the Lord is a thousand years and a thousand years but a day".
It's nice to live outside time and space ,eh?

As sarcastic and insulting as this question actually seems.......
You may be onto something. Because God has allowed Satan to exist, and is not currently punishing him....in fact God is, according to fundamental Christianity, handing over souls to Satan for HIS ENJOYMENT....so....if God still allows for Satan to be pleased by things, and does not torment him or make him suffer......
why wouldn't they stay in contact?
Have some philosophical talks or debates?

you realize if I remember my Bible day's wisely, there replaced right into a narrative with reference to the temptation of devil attempting to speak to Jesus. It replaced into interior the deseret after Jesus replaced into attempting to bypass with out any nutrition and water for some purification purposes. devil tried to speak to Jesus then remember. And he replaced into attempting to tempt jesus to make that stone into Bread. And some thing else into water. And Jesus does no longer do this. And than devil replaced into going to grant Jesus the worldwide, if he made himself leap down the cliff. So if all purposes safes me good, i could say God , Jesus won't ever consult with devil. And so a ways as devil is worried, i've got not got self assurance in that style of stuff. devil is a few thing previous historical and has to do with somewhat some pagean ritual stuff. So no Jesus and God won't ever consult with devil.
