Not at all. The Prioress in the Canterbury Tales spoke French fair and fetishly because she was rather more classy than the others. Not that she had been to France (or Paris, at least), because she had learned her in Stratford-atte-Bowe in London. English was the normal language of conversation and the very fact that Chaucer was able to note and record that she spoke French suggests to the reader that she was out to impress, there being no occasion to parley-voo between London and Canterbury.
