you do not have the phobia they are all talking about unless you are AFRAID to trust people. Not just that you don't. trusting people can only happen when you allow yourself to be opened up to possible humiliation or loss. You will never be able to trust until you do. I know that doesn't make any sense but it's the truth. I too find it very hard to trust. Even with my partner and my son, I am always expecting the worst. Trust comes from putting myself into situations where people can break my trust and then don't. It's not an easy thing to do, but it really helps to have people you can count on. But again, the phobia is only if you have FEAR of trusting, not that you simply don't trust.

Intelligence? Survival? Meaningful self preservation? I don't know the name of this condition but it sounds quite sane to me!
