Your dentist will administer the right amount of anaesthesia. You should not feel anything. He will give you instructions on what to do when you get home. It's not that bad. Don't worry so much. You will be fine by Christmas. Good luck.

Several years ago, had gum surgery,,gums, was cut from front teeth lower,, clear to back of inside jaw,, so this was 1/2 of inside lower gums,, sorry was difficult to explain,,
And no it didnt hurt too much,, but had trouble with excessive bleeding,,, Ended up in emergency room 20 hours later,, I guess the surgery was like a tramatic shock,,,and it caused my blood pressure to rise extremely high,,, and hospital told me that was causing blood to pump thru the stitches,,, just as if their wasent even stitches there,, I had to have further surgery,, and packing put in my mouth,,,, So my mouth was probably even more tender and sore than usual,, And the actual pain wasent too bad was more the bleeding itself,,,Not to mention I had a Maniac for an oral suregon,,
You will do fine,,, the pain isnt bad,, I just happened to have complications,, and had alot of swelling and bruising for almost three weeks,,, but it was due more to the suregon's rough treatment,, and the packing I needed later,, Trust me you will do fine

yes it will, but i am sad to say that you it really hurts like a red ant biting your gums, when sharp objects hit your gums!
(and since it will be near christmas, pray to JESUS to help you, and also your close people's support)
GOOD LUCK!

GIVE IT 2 WEEKS BEFORE YOU'RE ABLE TO BE ABLE TO EAT NORMALLY. YOU WILL RECEIVE MEDICATION FOR THE PAIN. THE DISCOMFORT IS NOT THAT BAD. I'VE HAD A SIMILAR PROCEDURE IN COLLEGE. THE PERIODONTAL SURGERY IS NOT THAT BAD.
