15 years later and I still remember. You just never forget all the time you shared and where you first learned to do some things. Nope, you don't forget.

My girlfriends gran died on sunday. She died at 5:15 in the afternoon. Her husband died at 5:15 in the morning. He was her first love and they ran away from Poland together during WW2. They never were unfaithful. They were each others first love.
She always said that her husband would visit her and she often had conversations with him. As she was dying, apparently she called out for him and said something like "See you soon, I love you"
They are now reunited.
So no, you never forget your first love.

Well, my first love and I ended badly and I now think that he's the world's biggest b**tard, so in my case, yes. I have forgotten my first love. His later stupidity totally outweighed his earlier sweetness and, in fact, our whole relationship. It's terrible and sad, but true! I wish I had a first love story that was the most romantic thing ever, but sadly, not to be.

I don't think you can ever forget your first love, but you can definately get over him (or her.) It takes time and even a bit of discipline, but moving on happens. But you have to make the effort to do just that, move on. Don't keep going back to them to try to rekindle something that is over. That's when the heartbreak really sets in and hurts.

A GREAT BIG NO!! Why should you want to? There must have been good times, and to have experienced love is a wonderful thing. Hurts though. But then they do say 'Better to have loved and lost, than never to have loved at all.'
