My husband doesn't bother to seal the bag the bread is sold in. After placing it back in the fridge, the bread is rock hard the following morning...we go through a lot of bread!

Bunny Bread will take 2-3 weeks, b/c it has plenty of preservatives in it.
Homemade bread, or bread from a bakery, will go stale in a day.

Bread without preservatives, such as bread from Panera Bread will go stale in about 3 days. Normally, bread will go stale in about 7 days if you keep it sealed.

it depends how much yeast was used in the baking of the bread. yeast is made of microorganisms and when the bread is no longer warm, the microorganisms start to die. eventually they all die and create oxygen bubbles which make the holes in bread. when the polluted air from your kitchen or local supermarket enters those holes, new microorganisms are created. these microorganisms are not pure like those found in yeast so they start to extract the moisture from the bread, drying it out until it is stale.

For fresh baked bread, usually 4 to 7 days depending on the environment. If you keep it dry and contained (in a breadbox, for example) it will last about a week, but if it is quite humid or hot or sunlight gets to it, then the lifespan is shortened.

Depends on the type of bread, the temperature and humidity of there it is being kept, and probably whether there are mold spores (like from other foods in the fridg) which might contaminate it.
It's YOUR project, you tell us.
