Getting a man may add to your problem. If you have a condition, you need to see a doctor and get medication to help stablize your mood swings. In addition to that, you sound like you are depressed or unhappy with your size. The worse thing you can do is beat yourself up about it. People will pick up on your negative vibe towards yourself and you will definately attract loser guys this way. That's why I said earlier that getting a man while you feel this way could actually add to your problems. Get medical help for your condition and learn to love your self at any weight. Once you do that, your confidence will improve and you will attract the worthy guys that you deserve!

Depends on the man. I don't think it will help your bipolar disorder unless he is also a psychiatrist. I recommend counseling and trying to see if you can get some mood stabilizers to help. Then look for a man if you still want to, because a man is just as likely to make things worse as fix things.

Dear Adopted,
"Getting a man" will not make you happy unless you are happy to begin with.

Each and every one of us is responsible for our own happiness. It sounds as though you aren't pleased with yourself at present so work on losing weight. Do things that you enjoy. Join a camera club if you enjoy taking pictures. Join a Little Theater group if you enjoy theater. When you are participating in actitivies that you enjoy you are very likely to find someone that enjoys similar things and who you are happy with.

You have to make yourself happy and be happy with yourself before a man can be happy with you. You want a man that can be happy with you not make you happy. He is going to have his own problems and he is going to need you to be there for him like you need him to be there for you. Take care of yourself and then a good man will notice you. Be patient it will happen in it's own time. I hope this helps.

getting a man most likely will not help you, you may just drive him nuts. in any case you can get prescription drugs to treat the symptoms of your bipolar disorder and both you and your man can live a happy normal life.

No. Do not get into a relationship now. It will make things worse.

But having a man in your bed is ok once in a while. As long as there's no commitment, sex can be healthy and fun. Just don't get all wrapped up in a relationship. Get better first.

Love jack

Ha, I am laughing with you because I am in the same situation. Try an older man who has more wisdom and patience. That is my current route-I hope it will make us feel better.

Staying on your medication will help make you happy. Wanting someone else to "make you happy" will backfire and you'll end up miserable.
