There is not a 'cure' for feline leukemia (viral form) but some cats do convert back to negative status. Also, some cats do respond to treatment, and some live quite a while with no symptoms.
Treatment vaires according to how sick your cat is or isn't. I've known several FELV+ cats who live into their teens with no symptoms, as well as cats who die in the first year.

There is no cure for feline leukemia. There are actually 2 kinds, the cancerous kind involving the blood and cells, and the other kind which is equivalent to aids in humans and it really should be called feline aids. For the cancerous kind, you can try chemo, good nutrition, and things that the vet recommends for cancer, and the aids kind I'm sure there are immune boosters, etc but in the end both are fatal.

there is no therapy for tom cat leukemia. There are rather 2 varieties, the cancerous form regarding the blood and cells, and the different form that's resembling aids in people and it incredibly might desire to be stated as tom cat aids. For the cancerous form, you are able to attempt chemo, solid meals, and issues that the vet recommends for many cancers, and the aids form i'm effective there are immune boosters, etc yet in the tip the two are deadly.

Now I am not 100% positive but I just had a cat with this. The Vet told me I could put him down or start him on medicine--the medicine is very expensive-worth it if you love your cat and have the money--my case was that I had more than one cat in the house-4- so I had to thinnk of them....good luck...

Sorry to say that it has no cure but only preventive treatment of immunization. However, as we know immunization is not 100% full proof of not getting the disease.

No, that is why you have to get shots at a early age,to help prevent it.It is sad to watch your pet die from this.I had a stray only 6mths I adopted, got it shots the next day but it died a few years later.
