And why am I not alone? I swear you guys, I don't touch that stuff all year. But when I get on a plane and the girl asks me what I want to drink, I just can't hold it back "Tomato juice with salt and pepper!" And the guy in front of me too, and the one behind me ... and I don't know why!
I once tried buying it on the ground and I threw the whole bottle away after several months because I didn't touch it!

Probably the same reason they serve salty food on a plane. I wasn't feeling good once on a very long flight and the flight attendant told me to keep drinking water and eating pretzels. I think the salt might help in some way. Some flights that don't offer V8 might offer bloody mary mix, its pretty much the same thing. Maybe you bought a different brand of tomato juice on the ground and it didn't taste as good.

I love V8 but the airlines I fly doesn't carry that, but they do have tomato juice.

I often enjoy this in the air too.

Your taste buds lose so much taste in the airplane due to dry stuffy conditions. Things we don't like on the ground may be just fine with less taste bud activity.

They have brought little bottles of vodka to pour in the tomato juice.

You drink it because it's available, for free, in a small can and you don't have to commit to a whole big bottle! It's a sophisticated, sexy drink and when you're traveling, that's how you want to be perceived. It's also good for you, and you want to start your trip out feeling terrific. So drink up, knowing that you're doing yourself good and making a good impression on those around you!
