It was nice and light out two days ago in the evening and you could go for a walk. Now its dark and depressing. How does that save money? People will just stay home and turn up the heat instead of going outside and enjoying the fresh air.

It saves everyone money. It may be only a couple hundred a year, but that adds up over time.

Because unfortunately, the businesses and government offices follow DST, and if we don't do it too, we all end up being late for work.
