It's nutz....lol
No. seriously one person is close. I work for Tyson so I think I can honestly answer this one. It can be breast meat that is molded (pressed) into shape and breaded or if they are just chicken nuggets or tenders they are usually made of mechanically seperated chicken, that is molded to nugget shapes. Mechanically seperated chicken is basically chicken in a blender. Usually they trim the best parts of the chicken and throw all the scrap in a blender..bones and all. The blend is then blasted through a screen at high pressure to remove all the bone fragments. The good portion of bologna and hot dogs are made this way as well...
Scrumptios huh?

There is no body part in a chicken called a nugget.
The nugget is composed of combination meat (like a hot dog) and breaded for mass markets.

You know when you get a bucket of fried chicken and you have a leg, a wing, a thigh, and a breast? Yeah, well the nugget is none of those. Bon apetite!

It is the leftovers, after they cut off the breast, wings, thighs and legs, whatever is left over they use for various things like nuggets.
