At this age, he requires medical treatment for that. I've had health insurance claims for that. No child with normal physical and mental capacity will do that at the age of 7. He needs help. His diagnosis is fecal incontinence.

Make his father have a "little chat" with him. Most of the time little boys idolize their fathers and want to be "just like Dad". Other than that Ihe other idea of buying some diapers and treating him like a baby should do it. But before you do all of that perhaps he should go get a checkup just to rule out any health problems before you put him though the embarrassment especially if you find out that there is a health issue. Good luck.

Well there could be alot of things 1st have him evaluted by an MD to make sure there is nothing medical also sometimes as my sons councelor has told me it is a control issue if there is alot going on in his life that makes him feel out of control this is may be the one thing he feels he has control over ( embarrassing & punishing WILL NOT WORK) if there is no medical issue ther is an underlying emotional cause & he should be seen by someone in the psychology field sometimes kids willl tell councelors things that they wont' tell a parent ( I speak from experience with my son)

Sounds like he was forced into potty training before he was ready and put into pants before he was potty trained. All I can suggest at this point is to teach him how to wash out his own underwear.

Scare him. Tell him there is a monster that comes when you poop in your pants. Or just bring someone else to make him feel embarrassed. My sister started when she saw my grandma.

wow. my mom would beat the crap out of me if i did that.
beating him is good. but then i wouldn't want him to have anger in his life like i did. but beating him is the way to dicsipline him and teach him. its not going to kill him, but ur doing something good for him. but only beat him for the right reasons.
but for the other problem like pooping because he doesn't know what's right or wrong, then maybe u should go ask for help with that. ask ur doctor or physician, therapist or something. i think they could have a way out. and yea. let him wear a daiper his whole life till he feels embaressed and learns.

Tell him he has to clean it up if he does it again. He is old enough to know better. I had a friend that adopted a son who did this. It still took her a while to get it to stop. good luck to you. Don't give up. I promise, he wont go to high school doing this!

Have you spoken to his pediatrician? Maybe there is a medical reason. I don't know many seven year olds who wouldn't mind pooping on themselves. There must be a reason.

Get a pack of diapers and tell him if he's going to act like a baby he's going to be treated like one. Tell him if he poops his pants again then you're going to make him wear diapers from now on. I guarantee he'll stop..
