how do i go about giving up my rights to my son that my mother has had for 15 yrs i want to give up all my parental rights and finacial rights , is there a paper i file with the court are what ?

well my mother is doing this she is feeding my son full of crap and she told him i didnt want him because he was white , my husband is black and she doesnt want him around him she's the one that has to be accountable for what she is doing i just cant deal with her crap anymore and her lies and i love my son but he's on drugs now he drinks smokes and in trouble with the law because OF HER she is bad and my son will never listen to me and i could never controll him ever .

I think that only if you feel like that is the best thing for your son you should do it. But if you are running away from him, that is only going to hurt you both in the long run. Maybe you should think about this some more because a mother parting from her child is just too hard to swallow. I hope you make a meaningful decision and I hope things will go right in your life. But I think your mom might have to go to the adoption agency and to the courthouse for any action to be taken. I wish you all the luck in the world and I hope you have no regrets!!

Don't blame your mother for how YOUR son turned out. Maybe he is the way he is because you were not around. No Mother of the Year award for you and now you want to give up all the rights to him. Bravo! The kid's is all jacked up, so you give him away.

how can a person have a child and just give them away. one day all that will come back on you he will resent you and not respect you for it.my mother did that when my sister was 15 my sister is 52 now and she never let her for get it furnals family reunion hell break a loose. she resents the other kids my mother keep.she feels mama didnt love her the reason she did it, i wouldnt give my baby up legally loosing my parental right i would just give her power attorney over him when i was absent from them

gee!! that's great just what mothers are meant to do!!! (NOT)
YOU SHOULD BE HELPING YOUR SON instead of turning your back on him sounds to me like neither one of you is fit to bring the kid up no wonder he is doing what he is doing he probably thinks no one will give a **** anyway so what does it matter.
as a mother you should have prevented this from happening in the first place.
but as you didn't and you obviously cant deal with that your choosing to bury your head in the sand and give the responsibility to some one else.

Why do you want to do this??? Do you not love your son?? Sorry, I just guess I could never understand why a parent would want to give up their parental rights. I guess I could see it though if he was because of a rape.

Your mother would have to file for adoption and you will have to be willing to sign away your parental rights.
