Don't do things like pushups and situps alone. You must do cardio workouts (like running) to burn the fat off. Exercises like pushups will add muscle to your body, but it will be underneath the layers of fat.

what you can do to speed up your metabolism is to try and eat 5 to 6 small meals a day. Try and eat every three hours, but just not a lot. Take what you would normally eat in a simple meal and divide it in half (for example) then eat half and the other half 3 hours later. Also, remember that breakfast is the most important meal of the day, your metabolism does not really "get started" until you eat something each day, so breakfast is key. also, you could make an attempt to lower the amount of carbohydrate you eat as the day goes on. Carbohydrates are important no matter what those "Atkins" people say, just try to reduce the amount you eat as the day goes along to where you are not eating any late at night. Which brings me to my next point, NO SWEETS AT NIGHT. Also, if you drink soda, it might be an excellent idea to 'cut it out', and drink lots more water. try drinking 8 oz of water every hour, your body can't really absorb any more than that. Exercise too, i know you can't leave the house but you can do some aerobics in front of the TV or something, at LEAST a half an hour 3 days a week.

Snacking is good, but excessive snaking is bad. You can't eat a lot of junk food like chips, cookies, ice cream, etc. Eat some healthy food. Ocasionally junk food is good. Also, eating out is bad. You almost never get the full facts in all that they put into it. As foir exercising, that helps a lot. Keeping your body physically active like walking or jogging, dancing, all sorts can help lose a few pounds. Even walking, minimum of 3 maximum of 5, days a week help. Don't work yourself too hard tehn it won't help. Pace yourself towards a goal to either cut down on foods or have a little time for exercise. Water helps a lot it flushes the body and keeps you hydrate.

When your infant/child is asleep (even though you need those precious few hours to relax!), jog up and down your stairs or around your house. Lift weights or do other excercises to turn that body fat into muscle. Drink plenty of water and eat healthy foods. I know its hard when you're a teenage mom, but lay off the Mickey D's and start eating some broccoli. If your child is old enough, look for fitness programs at your local park district if they are availible. Often, mother/child classes are offered. Don't become too obsessed with your weight, because it sounds to me that your are barely overweight. Just have fun with it.

Join this website: www.sparkpeople.com There are a TON of supportive people on the site. The site also has meal recommendations, exercise instructions, etc. There are groups for recent moms to share advice with one another, too. It is free to join.
I have been dieting since June. I have found that drinking a good deal of water and almost no other drinks helps. Also, eating fruits and veggies is great. Try to not eat too much red meat; if you're low on iron, try fish. One a Day Weight Smart vitamin is fantastic, but I'm not sure you can use it if you're breastfeeding. Ask your doctor.
Good luck to you and your son! :-)

Lose 10 pounds in 2 weeks??
There are some websites on the Internet, which promise you that you are going to lose 10 pounds in every 2 weeks. If you are good in math you will find that keeping these stats in mind, 260 pounds in a year. Losing 260 pounds is the figure, which is unbelievable and unexpected.
This kind of claims are planned just to cause clients to make impulsive decisions. When you gain weight, did you gained around 50 minds in two months? Certainly not. We gain weight in weight in small parts, which add up to our weight. This keeps on increasing with time.
I think you get what I mean to say. We normally gain weight in grams like 65 gram per week. With this stat you are going to gain around 7 pounds at the end of year.
This weight is so slow that you cannot measure it weekly. But in fur years you are going to gain around 28 pounds.
So how can you expect this weight to go in few days? You are going to lose the way you have gained it. So it will take time to lose weight. So you have to start losing weight systematically. You can lose weight by developing the good eating habits in you and nutritious foods.

Well, if you're at home all the time, you can clean the house or something? A little bit goes a long weight. And before you do sit ups, you have to lose the fat first, or the muscles will build over the fat, causing you to have a bigger looking stomach (sticks out more) I guess pilates? it's not a lot of money. One DVD is like around maybe 6-12 dollars? But you have to be consistent.

I've lost 5 kilos in my first week. It's my 10th day and I have included salad with some protein (eg. egg/ lean chicken) as you suggested. After 4 years of trying, the fat is finally coming off. It truly feels like magic!
Get started today!

well don't buy junk foods or tell ur mom not to get them....idk your living situation. get healthy stuff....apples, oranges, salad, stay away from hamburger...red meat stuff...eat leaner stuff like chicken and fish...etc. it might be a little easier for you if you can get someone else in the house to do the diet together. Stay away from foods that are processed...frozen dinners etc...they are loaded with preservatives and fat. Don't drink soda.....NOT EVEN DIET!! its bad for you....the artificial sweetener is a big no-no! if you do.....Don't smoke for ur health and ur baby's. if you can...get some type of exercise video. Do it at home...like while the baby is sleeping. do some crunches. idk where you live....but if the weather is nice....go for a walk with the baby in the stroller.
