Try meditation. This takes some practice at first, lie in a dark quiet room, and think positively, a bout the change you want to make. Do this once a day. Some people can even hypnotize them self's.

That is NOT brainwashing. What you are trying to do is selective "forgetting". I do NOT reccommend this (I am a hypnotherapist). However, if you *must* try, do this: Imagine this thing, event, whatever, very close to you. (See it in your mind's eye) Next, imagine a bright white light far far away, just a tiny point. Now, as fast as you can, thinking the word WHOOOSH! (or even saying the sound aloud) reverse the positions of those two.. the memory you want to get rid of, and the pure white bright healing light. Do this 5 times or so and over a short time the memory should fade. WARNING WARNING WARNING. This is NOT BS, it works, and do NOT, repeat do NOT use this for foolish purposes, "just to see if it works" I refuse to accept any responsibility if you do! Write down the same message to yourself everyday in a journal. When you reach the last page, you will be completely brain washed to whatever you have been writing out.
