Do any of you guys get like little tiny bumps/dots on your legs? I get them on the back of my calves and on top of my thighs. It sounds like in grown hairs but I dont think it is since there is no hair inside the bumps. I've tried letting it grow out to see if that's the problem but it still occurs. It's sort of like chicken skin. It's not VERY bad looking but it doesn't look as smooth as a lot of other people's legs and I get embarassed to wear shorts outside. Any possible solutions?

It sounds most like keratosis pilaris. It's nothing harmful, just dead skin that builds up and clogs pores (creating the bumps). There isn't an actual 'cure', but you can help reduce the appearance by using a gentle scrub and a moisturizer that contains lactic acid, urea or glycolic acid. A dermatologist can sometimes prescribe specific lotions, as well.

By the way, it's SUPER common so don't be embarassed to wear shorts! Lots of people have some form of Keratosis Pilaris, most get it on their upper arms, thighs, etc.

I get it too! It looks like goosebumps hey?
Try exfoliating regularly, like twice/three times a week. I use a big scrubby sponge ball thing in the shower. (I don't know what it's actually called) I also moisturise intermittently, not a regular thing, but every time I shave and if I need to in between. They still come up but they're smaller and there's less of them.
Try just ignoring them, I bet hardly anybody notices them!

It's razor burn. Use a fresh razor blade every time you shave and try shaving the areas you get the most bumps first (the razor will be sharper and less likely to cause bumps).

I hope I helped!

OMG! I have the same thing. I know exactly what it is. It is only the pores of our hair follicles that are exposed. It is not a rash, it is not an ingrown hair, it is none of those skin conditions. I actually have them all over my lower legs. Its a natural thing, I have asked my doctor about it, and He just stated, "Its just your hair pores."

It nothing big, or for you to be concerned over. I wish I could show you a pix. But your fine.

Trust me.

there is a skin disorder called kerotosis polaris that my sister (a pharmacist) has that appears as raised bumps on the skin. it basically means your skin can get rid of the dead cells so they pile up.

go to your doctor or pharmacist to get it diagnosed if it is then u have to:
-moisturize loads
-get a skin brush for the shower
and u can get loads of gels for it

good luck!

Do you get them after you shave? If you do they are little nicks and cuts from the razor.
