An easy way to make vanilla Jello is to open a few packs of unflavored gelitan into a container and split a few vanilla beans. Let them sit for a few weeks...add sugar to the mix and add suggested amount of water. The outcome: Vanilla Jello!!

Jello is water based.....pudding is milk based and to my knowledge chocolate and vanilla can't be water based. You'll have to settle for pudding.

they quit making chocolate jello in 1926, but you can make your own by adding cocoa powder and sugar to unflavored gelatin. I do not know the exact measurements.

Maybe cause they only make it in fruit flavors, maybe cause they're just plain weird. I know that they make chocolate and vanilla PUDDING Jell-O though.
