Carrots don't actually contain much true vitamin A.What they do contain is beta carotene.Beta carotene can be converted to vitamin A by your liver. On that note vitamin A is linked to eye health. This is much safer than vitamin A supplementation as vitamin A is fat soluble and is very toxic in high doses. That's due in part to the fact that your body stores most of the A in your system in adipose tissue.Your body will not convert more beta carotene to A than you need.
There is some anecdotal evidence that lycopene(found in large quantities in tomatoes) is also beneficial to eye health. On the note of beta carotene, most fruits and vegetables with an orange, red or yellow color are high to very high in beta carotene.Bell peppers are just one example(red and yellow of course).Eating them raw or lightly steamed decreases the likelihood that you'll destroy this nutrient in the cooking process.
Note this will only help if you're deficient in vitamin A.It will do nothing to improve astigmatism or other deformations.
Zinc,lecithin,B12 and calcium can actually have an effect because of their link to nerve health and neurotransmitter production. As always no vitamin or mineral will improve a condition unless that condition is due to a deficiency due to absorption or lack of that nutrient in your diet.

I hate having to where glasses, so I tried the 'eat carrots and you'll se better' myth
so I went on a carrot diet, but nothing happened to my eyes, but I will have to admit that I got an orange tint to my skin though.....
So no it won't help you see better.
