We already know he was dark skinned. Most of the pictures of him were commissioned by the Catholic church in Italy, where they made Jesus look like them.

Jesus had a Jewish mom. So that is about the color He was when He walked on the earth.

Many people who painted Jesus didn't really do Jesus justice. They were inspired by fairies. I know that some art renditions of Jesus are inspired by God, but one has to ask God in prayer if they are.

I have seen one picture of Jesus where the artist wasn't an artist. The artist felt Jesus wanted him to paint His face. So he tried and it didn't look very good. But when the Christian band played & sang praise music, he painted in the anointing of praise, and a picture of Jesus came out. I had prayed to God for a true picture of what Jesus looked like when He walked the earth. The Lord let me know that this picture looked like Him. Not perfect but close. So I keep a picture of it.

Jesus wasn't a white European in that art piece either.

The oldest likeness of Jesus we have was from the 3rd century. It is not a painting but a sculpture. The oldest painting we have from about the 8th century shows Jesus with dark skin. How then, do the people in the 15th through the 21st century have any idea of how he looked when they paint Him?

By the way, the 3rd century sculpture shows Jesus with short hair and Jewish features.

i think that is because the first pictures were made by Italians and Europeans so they didn't know Jesus they just paint him as they imagined, so probably they just imagined a guy who look like them....
On the other hand there is a theory, not probed, but it is a theory... that in the time of Mary there was a lot of soldiers going here and there, as the roman empire expanded, so they think (it is a possibility, im not saying it is a fact, its just something I read, I let it to you to choose what you want to believe); OK they think that what really happened its that the real father of Jesus was a roman... that Mary had an affair with a roman soldier that was passing by, or even that she was raped, that's what Ive read, however i just rather think about the first option that the painters were European... i hope this helps you

the photos of Jesus were modeled after the Shroud of Turin and the viel of Veronica. Early Greek pictures of Jesus depicted him with a beard a lengthy nostril and deep set eyes. Romans depicted him in short hair and sparkling shaven, after their subculture. i have considered black, blonde, chinese language, and latino variations of Jesus. Artists have license to make the photo after their subculture, so particular, it might make experience that Jesus would seem eu if eu artists painted him. by technique of how, Jesus became a Jew, not arab.

That's one of the reasons why Islam prohibits the representation of any of the Prophets, in any image, sculpture or form. This is to protect their image from being exploited by people who have no idea what they looked like.

Islam 1 - Non-Islam 0 !!

Jesus was not "white."

He was Jewish; dark/olive colored skin, dark hair and eyes.

Hello!?!?! He's from the Middle East!
