Kiev (beautiful city) or Lviv in Ukraine. Minsk in Belarus. Moscow or St. Petersburg.

Can't help you on the vacation thing, but when you take your FujiF30 there for those night shots, consider dialing in a bit of negative exposure compensation. maybe -1 to -1-2/3 ev. If it's night, you want the image to look dark, becuase it *is* dark. The camera won't know it's night and will try and make everything look like day.

Up in the mountains of any country really. Rent a lovely log cabin or similiar with roaring fire. Have fun, feel envious of u already. Happy Christmas.
