I have an older brother and he does not shower. He sits at home all day because he doesn't have a job. All he does is eat and sleep.

Use tough love with your brother and tell him that he stinks and it disgusts you. If that doesn't work, try getting other members of the family to help you with encouraging him back to a normal regimen of proper hygeine.

Maybe your brother is depressed. Depression can cause a number of problems and one of them is not taking a shower.
Have you told him that he smells and that you would appreciate it if he would take a bath that he is starting to smell the house up.
If all he does is eat and sleep he should really go to see a doctor because he is obviously depressed. I would be too if I didn't have a job.
You can put it to him in a nice way so that he doesn't get offended but if he hasn't showered in two weeks he cannot smell good.
I once knew a guy that had gotten laid off from Chrysler and this is the truth. He didn't shower for almost a year and yes whenever he came around I ran the opposite way because he did smell really, really badly.

First you hit them over the head with a frying pan. Then you drag them to the shower, turn it on, and walk away. Just kidding!!! It sounds to me like your brother is suffering from depression. Whether he admits it or not he sounds very depressed. Try talking to him and see if you can get him to talk to you. If not try to find someone he trusts to come over and get him to talk. Other than that there is not much else you can do. He is in control of himself. I would also recommend just for your own sanity try spraying him down with Febreeze when he is sleeping. =)

Pour something gross like soda on him it will cause him to change clothes and shower. Because no matter how much of a slob you are it still feels disgusting to be all sticky.

maybe he is BIPOLAR they tend to go through stages of sadness and depression, he may not even realize what he is doing.
