It entirely depends on why you are having the colonscopy in the first place - generally though before most proceedures urine and blood samples and taken and tested to ensure fitness for the proceedure.

No, generally there are no tests that have to be preformed before a colonoscopy. Some doctors will do some other tests before they resort to a colonoscopy just because they try to get around such an invasive test. But there aren't any rules saying they have to.

Not necessarily, unless the Dr. is looking for something specific. 24 hours before the test you must cleanse out your GI system. The Dr. will give you a Rx for laxatives and colon cleansers. The test itself is no big deal. You're so out of it you won't even know they're doing anything.

possibly an EKG, but probably nothing else...you will have to take some sort of drink to "clean your system out" the night before your scope.

No tests- but you'll be doing a messy flush of your system the night before- so don't schedule anything.

rather no longer. Your training could specify that. in case you would be able to desire to have a polyp got rid of, the aspirin in Anacin would reason you to no longer clot precise. you would be surprised how plenty you could bleed out of your colon. adequate to die if that's no longer caught early. No aspirin, no NSAIDs. Tylenol (acetaminophen) is okay.
