I am assuming that the doctor gave you a steroid cream to put on it. It only works if you change all the things in your life that are causing your eczema to flare up. My daughter and I both have eczema and we have been able to keep it completely under control just by being extremely careful what we let come into contact with our skin. The first thing I did is change our laundry soap. This is major, I switched to All Free and Clear since it is free of dyes and perfumes. Second we changed our soap to Dove body wash. Third we stay away from all lotions that are scented. You have to be careful with these three things. They will cause your eczema to flare up overnight. If you can control those things then you will be able to get your eczema under control. There is no cure currently for eczema there is only management.

Hi, have you tried changing your laundry soap? Try to use something unscented. I have used Sunlight for years because anything else makes my eczema flare up. Oatmeal products may help relieve some of the itching. It may be a good idea to get tested for food allergies. I also found that grapeseed extract helped my symptoms a lot. That's all I can think of right now.

If what the Dr. gave you is not working call the office and tell them, they can call in something different or give you a sample of another med. from their office.

Sometimes exzema is a tough problem until you hit on the right medicine.

good luck
