I think you can count on it going wrong!!!! Reliability has never been one of Alpha's strong suits. :-(

You are used to the bomb-proof reliability of Japanese marques, and choosing an Alpha is likely to dissappoint. I know of 3 people that have recently bought Alphas and they all had massive reliability problems. One, in the end, had to give it back, and bought a BMW instead.
I actually do not think they are great cars. The handling can be too firm, and a bit of a bone shaker on UK roads, and the turning circle is awful. The interior can also start to rattle a bit after a year old!
Stick to what you know is my advice, there is no reason why you would buy this car with your head... only your heart!

As long as you can count you don't have to be sat on an Alfa to do it!!! You could sit by the river, in a field, in the middle of the M1 (if you like), wherever you want really.

Alphas, have a terrible reputation. whether its justified, i don't know. But you can't have fire without smoke, therefore i have always steered clear of them.

Alfas are notorious for thier unreliability but they are a great drive and thats what you buy one for.
