What sort of creatures are we that we need the perceived threat of the Sword of Damocles of God hanging over us or we don't think it's worth being good?

I have no idea what the sword of Damocles is.
But it's a yes or no q uestion, giving me a fifty-fifty shot.
So I'll say Hell Yes! Death to the people who oppose the Sword of Damocles. They hate God, and that's wrong.

It's not God's sword of Damocles hanging over us but man's Nuclear aspirations..the USA has already used two bombs, who will be next ? It doesn't matter how "good" we are if some power-hungry nation decides to use its nuclear weapons to fulfil its aims - God will have nothing to do with it.
