i was wondering how old you have to be to travel alone in canada or US. i mean far distances where you would be required to take a plane. from canada to the US or canada to switserland.

In australia, you have to be 13 to travel alone. I dunno about the US but I would think it would nearly be the same.
Fir 13-15 YO, the perents can fill out a form so the airline staff can look after the kid or the kid can just go in alone but thats in Australia. Ring the airline that u wanna fly with.
With Qantas, they can look after the kid on an international flights and help them with passport control and customs. With qantas, you have to be over 15 to travel without airline help.

It depends on the airline and I don't know if international if different. I think standard is 14 to travel alone. I think under that you must be escorted by the airline and that does cost extra. Also make sure you watch for any extra rules where you need permission to travel international by both parents. Me, my mom and my sister flew to Canada from the US and we needed my dad's permission to take my 11 year old sister out of the country. It had to be a notarized letter or she needed proof of custody (and she has none since they are married)

well i think 18 to travel alone but i think u can travel at any age if u have assistance ( u have 2 pay extra though)
