Faked most of the time. I do think Accorah can be genuine, but he is put under pressure by producers to pull anything out of the bag to make it interesting. How come Colin Fry and John Edward can do it in a studio with lights on, calm etc... without all that pitch black scary stuff that goes on in most haunted? I still want to see the Ghost towns through esp. Ely, I know a lot about Oliver Cromwell so I could probably tell if Derek had made proper contact or not - fake or not - that is the question

Anything that appears to be real with be dismissed anyway, I think most have to experience this phenomena in person and not through watching a TV show in order to make that decision. The show itself I don't watch much, because just like Ghosthunters on Scifi there is almost never clear proof. To believe that UFOs and Ghosts don't exist is just stupid, it's what they really are and their purpose that nobody knows. I enjoy the show Haunting on Discovery, it's a story based on a real person or family rather than a failed documentary on proving or disproving hauntings.

Ah yes : Derek The Liar you mean?
You got to hand it to him - he really gives the impression he believes his own lies. I bet he was a used car salesman in a previous life!?
He opens his mouth and the lies just come spewing out.
Has anyone seen the Antiques Ghost Show? The lying continue except this time he picks pieces of jewelry and other ods and ends and pretends to 'Channel' some previous owner of the item, which was always some ostentations or otherwise entertaning person, like a clown or a market stall owner, so he can do his little comedy performance.
Let him forever be know as Derek The Liar........

The show is on Living TV. It should be on Paramount Comedy. It's hilarious. Watching Derek morph into a being from centuries before is great comedy. Oh, by the way, to the guy that mentioned Derek, he's no longer on the show. He has his own comedy show now.

Fake. Those other "reality" supernatural shows as well. I think they should have to be a little more responsible in their presentations, there are so many guilble people who want to believe this stuff and it just adds to the irrationality of the world.

I think a bit of both. I think they make it overly super freaky and then send a bunch of just about always gullibly scared people into the haunted place and let the scary start.
I believe in hauntings and their places but I think it definately is a bit staged here.
