well basically taking better care of your hair will promote hair growth...and trimming your hair DOES NOT promote hair growth!! trimming your hair gets rid of dead ends, and makes your ends look healthier, that's all. Just make sure to keep your scalp clean by washing it once a week, and give your hair a deep conditioner everyother week. Use a cholesterol to do so. Right now, I recently change my shampoo & conditioner to KeraCare. Yes, it's very expensive (compared to my last shampoo, Pantene), but it really works!!! My hair has noticably grown in the past month.

Extensions...!

Not the glued in type though, they can cause hair loss. Just braid sections of synthetic or real hair into the nape of your hair, secure them with a rubber band or thread and voila...longer hair. Cut and style it as you wish, your hair should cover the braid and if you pick the colour right noone should ever know.

If you get it done professionally they could last for upto 3 months which will give plenty of time for your hair to grow!

I feel you! I had beautiful long hair, never cutt it, but also had the worse split ends ever, heck my split ends had split ends! But, in order to get your hair to grow, you have to get regular trims, it helps the tips of your hair strands recieve oxygen, and you should massage your scalp with some sort of oil (NO BABY OIL), i'm talking about Tee tree oil, avocado oil, Olive oil is a great one, or castor oil (which also helps seal the cuticle and make your air softer), the massage will help your scalp with circulation and will help your hair grow, the oil will help treat the scalp as well help make your new hair and the hair you have stronger!
Hope it helps!

You just have to let your hair grow at its own pace. You should though, get regular haircuts to prevent splint ends. There might be some products to make hair grow faster, but I personally don't use any of those type of things.

hair grow about a 1/2 inch per month. doesn't seem like much, but just think that in a year, you'll have 6 more inches - that's a LOT!!

Trim just a little off....the split ends. They are dead and slow the growing process down a bit. So only trim the split ends off. Then, you just gotta wait.

If you really can't do that, get extensions...they seem fun!

try to be in the sun a lot. vitamin d increases melanin production, so your hair and nails will grow faster.
