We were just given a doberman who will be 2 in January. They said that he was inside but got too big so they put him in a kennel outside. I don't know how long he was outside. What is the best way to house break him, I am mostly concerned about him marking his area in the house.

You should train him exactly as you would a puppy..However, most dogs that have been outside, after having been inside, will already be trained..they do remember..and older dogs are actually easier to train..the best method is ROUTINE..Feed at the same times, twice daily. take him out about 20 minutes after feeding. Walking stimulates the bowel action..Keep water down all day, but put up the food dish after feeding..Take him out more frequently for peeing, about every 3 hours, until you learn how often he needs to go..if he acts like he wants to mark, then have him neutered.. None of my males, and I have had many!! have been markers in the house..so, being male isn't usually a problem..

Hi, I understand that you are looking for some advice or resources to help fully train your dog or fix behavior problems. If a professional dog trainer is not an option at this time, or if you want to trt training your dog on your own (a great way to bond), I'd suggest you https://bitly.im/aMQL3

A friend recommened it to me a few years ago, and I was amazed how quickly it worked, which is why I recommend it to others. The dog training academy also has as an excellent home training course.

You'll have to spend a couple of days with the dog 24 hours a day. Watch where he goes and just before he's able to lift his leg, take him out. After he goes outside, positive reinforcement.

Create a routine for him to go outside; upon waking, before and after meals and then just before bedtime (use your own time frames). Use an excited voice to make going outside seem like fun for him. Praise him for doing his 'business' outside and reward him with a dog biscuit. It won't take long - he'll soon let you know when he needs to go outside.

And we baby her but she pees on us or when she gets excited and we just had a new baby and we have to keep her in kennel or outside and I don't want to do that to her. I don't want to get rid of her and would like to breed her in future.just can't get past her pee on our bed, shoes, kid toys. Can anyone help me?

you would be able to desire to take your canine outdoors as quickly as you wake interior the morning. Be arranged to attend together with her for 15 to twenty minutes to confirm she is going. If she does not bypass, positioned her in a crate for 10 to fifteen minutes and then take her outdoors lower back. proceed this till she does her subject. Take her outdoors 10 to fifteen minutes after she eats, naps, performs, liquids and so on. The greater time you spend together with her outdoors, the quicker she'll discover ways to no longer bypass interior. you apart from mght would desire to observe for the signs and indicators. If her nostril is going down and he or she appears like she is finding, take her outdoors. If she is going to the door, take her outdoors. quickly, you will see the trend and he or she will discover ways to bypass outdoors. using a crate would properly be a needed help in guidance her. maximum canine won't soil the place they sleep so a crate is an exceedingly stable decision. stable success together with her.

Train him just like you would a pup. Rub his nose in it and then take him outside. Talk to him say NO! Hit him on the nose with a rolled up paper. He'll get it.

GET HIM NEUTERED. HE WON'T BE AS INCLINED TO MARK. HE MAY STILL A COUPLE OF TIMES BECAUSE OF HIS AGE, BUT NOT AS MUCH OR AS LONG. AND GET HIM A SUPER LARGE CRATE THAT HE CAN STAY IN AT NIGHT AND WHEN YOU CAN'T BE THERE TO WATCH HIM.
